Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 (abbreviated to PES 2012 and known basically as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2012 in Asia) is the 11th release in the Pro Evolution Soccer sequence designed and released by Konami with generation support from the Blue Sky Team. Lionel Messi, who has been the cover star for the series since PES 2009, will be changed by Cristiano Ronaldo. The greatest problems in last season's video activity, such as defenders being unrealistically more quickly than enemies and teammate/goalkeeper AI are resolved for the most element, but goalies still have the odd moment in time of braincramps and butterfingers. They never occur anywhere near enough to slow down the practical knowledge, but the problems are there.
