Samsung Galaxy S4 smart phone has made it off the development line and onto the iFixit working table. What makes the latest – and most expected – Android working system smart phone tick?

Straight away, the iFixit team were satisfied to discover that Samsung have given the S4 with a user-removable power supply. All that's needed to get into the product is a durable finger nail to get into the product, after which the 3.8V and 2600mAh (9.88Wh) power supply can be eliminated by hand.

Sampling further into the smart phone, the iFixit group discover a 13 mp rear-facing photographic camera able of documenting full 1080p HD video clips at 30 supports per second, a couple of IR receptors which are used for the Air View/Air Action function, and a Synaptics S5000B touchscreen display display processer that is so delicate that it allows the display to be managed while dressed in safety gloves.

Let's not imagine that Samsung is a innovator in this area though: like a great many features of the Galaxy S4, the phone gets a lot from the other top mobile phones of when. Both the Sony models Xperia Z and the HTC One have displays that stone the same quality, but neither of them have the jaw-dropping strength of the Extremely AMOLED HD display on offer here.
